Neil rocked with the best of them in the early days. Before he became the Jewish Elvis

When I saw the large photo on the right, I wondered: "Why does he have a picture of Michelle Obama on the blog?" Frightening.

Michelle Obama can only sit back and wish she had hair that good...of course, the reasons she can't match Neil's coiffure surely are tinged by sexism and racism...nonetheless, the song sure is a good one.

What would be wrong with an "Elvis" of any race or nationality? I'd take another one in a Tennessee minute.

I've always wondered about the lines: "And no one heard at all/Not even the chair."

Not even?

Where did Neil obtain the fabulous chairs with ears that he evidently had access to in Brooklyn?

Granted, the song is a bit overwrought...not the first Neil Diamond song to fall into that category. The idea of some empathetic furniture filling up the house could be appealing especially in favor of pets that shed and dispense liquid and solid wastes at inopportune times.
